Beam Deflection Tool

How the Calculator Works

This calculator uses the standard engineering formula for a simply supported beam with a concentrated load at the center:

δ = (P × L³) / (48 × E × I)

Where:
• P = Load (N)
• L = Beam length (m)
• E = Elastic modulus (Pa)
• I = Moment of inertia (m⁴)

Example

Beam Length: 4 m
Load: 800 N
E: 210,000,000,000 Pa
I: 0.00003 m⁴

Possible Output:
Deflection = 0.0041 m
